Investors and license owners will now have the opportunity to access business registration and licensing services through interactive kiosks that will be available to them 24/7. This new innovative approach, known as the ‘Smart Hall’ will be introduced for the first time in the region and is set to open in Dubai by the Department of Economic Development (DED).
The Smart Hall is set to open by May 2016 and will be occupying an area of 9,000 square metres on the ground floor of DED’s primary office that is located in the Business Village. It will incorporate the most contemporary and advanced innovative technology that will offer day in and day out access to business registration and licensing in a remarkable, paperless environment.
These kiosks will provide all the same services in regards to registration and licensing of DED that are currently available online and on smart devices. The kiosks are aimed to offer an interactive and user-friendly environment in order to guide customers through each step and help facilitate their licensing and registration transactions. The kiosks voice call facility will be one of the more pivotal highlights that will be available for customers who need the supported help.
Dubai Economic Department has introduced the Smart Hall in order to be in the forefront of Dubai’s move into a praiseworthy and smart innovative government. Dubai’s administration as a business destination relies to a great extent on its competitiveness and ease of doing business. Dubai has the ability to enhance its comparative advantages as business and investment hub as it advances into more of a Smart City, and is moving towards the right direction with Smart Hall.
