For making things and procedures easier, the Department of Economic Development (DED) of Dubai has come up with three new services for business owners under a program named as the “Hassle-Free” initiative.
These three services, which were announced by the Director General of DED, Sami Al Qamzi and CEO of Business Registration & Licensing in DED, Omar Bushahab, include “Starting a business,” “Automatic renewal,” and “Special advisor” – all of which are a part of DED’s strategy to build up the fundamental sectors of the economy, increase confidence of investors and encourage competitiveness, thus boosting up Dubai as a competitive center for doing business.
The first service “Starting a business” combines three steps of business registration, i.e. Trade Name Reservation, Initial Approval and the Article of Association into one easy step. This service will be only limited to new Limited Liability Companies.
The second service “Automatic renewal” consists of two parts: the first part is about a text message that DED sends to license holders making them aware of the approaching expiry of their licenses, and providing them a link through which they can pay the desired fee for renewing their license. The second part is about a text message that is sent to the license holder on the expiry of the license along with the expiry date, payment authorization and a link for the payment of fee and renewal.
The third service “Special advisor” is aimed at large business and commercial groups in Dubai. DED will take the responsibility to train the personnel and qualified national representatives from these companies in order to provide services of Initial Approval, License Renewal and Trade Name Reservation.
