The main objective of the meeting was to discuss several ways that the two countries can strengthen their economic and trade ties. In order to help promote Netherlands investment environment, the meeting discussed introducing the UAE to all of the countries investment prospects. This would be done by sending a high-level trade delegation from the UAE by the Minister of Economy to the Netherlands.

A choice was additionally taken for the UAE and the Netherlands to consent to a community oriented agreement to propel advancement in the SME sector in both nations.

Al-Mansouri said trade amongst the two countries has expanded from $3.086 billion in 2013 to $3.924 billion in 2014.
